Description
Bach’s "Sleepers Wake" (Wachet auf, ruft uns die Stimme) BWV 140 is one of his most beloved and well-known chorales. Usually the trombone only plays the chorale melody while the piano or organ takes the main tune. In this arrangement I reversed the roles so you can now enjoy playing the beautiful main melody yourself and also present the powerful chorale in the middle section.
Let your trombone deliver the soft legato passages from the very first note and then shine with the majestic chorale. The piano part is written to support you perfectly and give the piece its full, rich sound.
This is a wonderful opportunity for trombone players to show both lyrical beauty and majestic power. This sheet music invites you to download now and bring this classic to life with your trombone.
